It’s not about age. It’s about once you start college you get 5 years. Period. If you played pro in your sport anywhere then you cannot play college. No more 6th or 7 years. Played in G league. Not elegible. Common sense.
For those who think that college football is no place for 25-year-olds to be playing, it’s worth noting there are currently six college football players between the ages of 25 and 30, and no one is complaining about them or suggesting they’re too old.
Creep. Boy could hoop. WPS!🐗
“I discovered an Arkansas Razorback championship ring in a box of miscellaneous items at an estate sale and instantly thought: I HAVE to find Chris Walker. After weeks of posting on social media platforms, I was thrilled when I received a message from Chris. He expressed…
Greenwood 38-1 last 3 seasons. 2 ships and a runner up but move down. Dominance rule should be fair and equitably applied but @ArkActAssn is to weak to do what’s right. 🤡
We will see how Greenwood works out in 5A.. I know a lot of coaches who would like to see domination rule for all schools...
Heisman is a joke. Not for best player in college. When the screwed @dmcfadden20 twice you knew. Troy Smith. Are you kidding me. 🤦
Congratulations to Fernando Mendoza. 24th in passing yards IN THE COUNTRY. ONE game with over 300 yards passing. COMEBACK VICTORY over 3-6 Penn State. Truly REDEFINED what it means to win the Heisman Trophy!
🤡
#DemsUnited #DV1 Did it ever occur to Tom Cotton that the survivors might’ve been flipping the boat over so they could survive? They were incapacitated and unarmed. There are “shipwreck laws” in the DoD manual that Cotton has apparently never read.
Y’all know this is socialism. I’m ok with it but just making sure.
NEW: Senator Ted Cruz explains that if the maximum amount is put into “Trump Accounts” every year, a child born during this administration will have $170,000 by age 18 and over $700,000 by age 35. 🤯
So dumb if you think $400k was what made his decision.
We offered Golesh $7mill a year. Auburn hired him at $7.4mill. We couldn’t counter at $7.5mill?!?!? BOTTOM FEEDER MENTALITY!
This confirms that this is not a job anyone really wants. We struggled to find a coach and hired Chad. Same with Sam. And here again same thing. We need some luck with Silverfield or it’s same old same old. And you have to fire HY. Today! #wps
So, how do you feel about Ryan Silverfield as the next head football coach? 😅
The “equity” points is not about equity at all it’s about punishing private schools. The multiplier method was fine and fair. If you don’t understand 50 players v 150 players then you truly aren’t allowed to have an opinion.
Meanwhile, football powerhouse Greenwood will be moving DOWN to 5A. Kudos to them for figuring out the system and playing it to their advantage. Genuinely. If they were a private school they would have been moved up to the Big10 5 years ago.
How it should be done. Make a list 5-7 coaches. Assign a value for each. Offer #1 job. If no move to #2 and so on. There are no sure things. Picking a coach is like drafting an NFL QB. You make the pick and hope it works. Sometimes it’s a Brady. Sometimes a Zach Wilson. #WPS
It seems apparent an agent is deeply involved in Arkansas trying to hire a new football coach. Playing one school against another. Never ending game that has sent college athletics out of control.
The 💰 won’t do it . Coaches worth $8mil+ have no interest in job. Bottom half of SEC with no real recruiting base. We need an up and comer. Recruit and develop. Take chances on Ark kids. Fill holes with portal adds. Use the 💰 on the roster. Just got to find that dude. #luck
All we’ve been hearing is about how donors have gotten a big bag ready to make a huge hire this time around. And we’re supposed to believe the guy is on this list??? I just don’t buy it.
Dallas Cowboys Football
It would not surprise me if he stays. But LSU…. Just different. Oozes Natty opportunity better than any place else in college football. Recruiting is easy there. Go get DJ Durkin to be D coordinator and he may go on a Saban run.
There is absolutely no reason for Lane Kiffin to leave Ole Miss. None. Florida, LSU and Auburn can offer whatever they want. As long as Ole Miss is close, he can stay and become a legend.
I ain’t a PA fan. But those kids didn’t win because they recruited or had a bunch of P4 players. They won cause they executed at an insane level at that’s coaching.
Kevin Kelly ain’t the same when he can’t cherry pick around Central Arkansas. The PA money helped his career out immensely.
Eberflus needs to go.
You've got them backed up to their own 7 and you start the drive with Clark and Osa on the bench? This is the time to stop the run more than ever.
Eberdlus needs to go.
Giving the ball to this Carolina offense with 6:07 to play and not getting it back is more embarrassing than any stat you could possibly dig up on the Cowboys defense.
As of right now he’s my top guy.
I don’t think Jon Sumrall is going to jump at the Hog coaching opening to get into the SEC; something better may open. But I love the way he handled the postgame interview after a sloppy performance last night. Not the “we’re just happy to win” response we’re used to hearing here
He agreed to less so that the clause he “activity has to seek employment” was removed. He wanted to be done with coaching. He didn’t give that money up just because.
A thank you isn’t necessary or obligatory. He stayed well beyond his shelf life, was heavily criticized, and left with less money than he was technically “owed.” I wouldn’t thank anyone either, if I were him.
If you can’t get a big time guy and I mean big time then try and find a “next” kinda guy (they are out there just gotta find) for a reasonable contract and spend the 💴 on the players. Talent is a must to compete in the @SEC
As the Hogs move forward, they need to do things differently—short-term, high-money deals with very few incentives. Three years, 27 to 30 million dollars guaranteed. There is no reason in this portal era to have contracts longer than three years.
