Reminder: women were ordained as pastors, priests, and bishops in the first three centuries of the early church. To claim ordaining women is “slipping into liberalism,” is to miss how the church stopped ordaining women because it slipped into patriarchy.
Many Christians, warped by anti-communist propaganda, read Acts 4:32 -- "no one claimed private ownership of any possessions, but everything they owned was held in common" -- and dismiss it as utopic. Capitalist 'realism' is their idol, replacing the God of graced possibility.
