I just giggle as I remember I have 15 years of experience as a ballet dancer while I mentally point out about 10 flaws in this pic and cringe inside. Anyway she could’ve gotten hurt but whatever were pretentious right?
people are acting so shocked that ballerinas are laughing at sydney sweeney for this pic and pointing out everything wrong with it as if ballerinas arent KNOWN for being perfectionists😭

Plz look at the “Models Doing Ballet” page on Instagram. You’re welcome. It’s the most disheartening when big artists/brands/corporations refuse to just hire professional dancers as if we aren’t also great photo subjects lol.

A 🧵 : Can we just STOP using non Ballerinas for “ballet” photoshoots. 1- it’s dangerous, you shouldn’t be on pointe shoes if you don’t know what you’re doing. 2- it doesn’t look like ballet if the lines are wrong, the foot isn’t over the box and the shoes aren’t tied right.
