Every thread on this hellhole seems to descend into Whataboutery. Hardly anybody reads down a thread. I virtually never QT because it brings in the ravaging wolves. But a few simple lines here explain the whole point. I wish I had the stamina of @AidanTheJester.
Why are people dying so some rich people can get richer? And why should energy companies make a profit anyway? The assumption they should, rather than just sustain themselves and put any extra money into public spending for us citizens is already a political assumption.
