For the love of God, stop promoting this 'Tekken 8 pushes character identity' or 'uniqueness' narrative when it is the complete opposite. Never ever has the entire roster felt so homogenized. They turned FENG into a stance character, can you believe it?

Been playing Tekken 8 for a year, and I still don't get why strong defense is a bad thing?? Never seen that in other fighting games. It's ridiculous. Give us some defensive options, please!
When someone tweets sth like this the "optimal" solutions usually involve risking ur life while the opp is chilling throwing fullscreen tracking plus oB bs that even kills u for BLOCKING. Mashing at -17 used to be called mashing and now ppl call it "active defense" to sound smart
Tekken 8 has issues 100% but every time someone posts a clip to talk about why the game is bad and what not, it almost always involves the other player choosing the worst possible option for every single interaction they had available to them
The state of Tekken is extremely volatile right now. The more I play the game, the more depressed I become. It feels like the game has devolved into a single launcher, followed by 50/50 mix-ups, and that's it. The game needs systematic changes more than balance changes imo
At this point they should just do a spin off tekken game where they can goof around with all those party mechanics as much as they like just to leave actual tekken games alone with this stupid shit

1/2 People are complaining because of the Heihachi gameplay while T8 has been bad since the beginning - Backdash almost non-existent - braindead „offense“ based on 50/50s introduced by stances. Just run up and mash your move that does everything into 50/50. No timing needed.

Almost tekken skills doesn't count anymore, just 50/50, if I win or lose its just because mindgame, and is not even possible block to get more informations or be safe because chipdamage. Change and adapt is ok but we want play tekken not other fightning game
My opnion : Tekken 8 is not fun. Aggressive is actually just an absurdity I think I don't adapted to this game, As someone I've been doing since Tekken1 so far, tekken8 is a lot of things I can't understand
It was Tekken's skill to block well, avoid well, patience well.but T8 is no reward even if you block well. you will lose health. good movements cannot be rewarded.Aggressive is not possible for all characters.balance between attack and defense is tilted to one side

I think it's actually superficial that the concept of Tekken 8 is aggressive. It's just a simple 50/50 mindgame. Tekken is 3D Game. there were defense tech with SS block or SS duck, backdash duck, etc. But Homing grab ignores almost defense options (Power crush, heat burst, SS).
Tekken 8 be like: Heat burst, Heat smash, power crushes, heat engagers, throws… that's it? 🤔 Seriously, why did they even bother giving each character a variety of moves? #TEKKEN8
