At the deepest level, establishment forces don’t have such a problem giving money to the poor; they have a problem giving power to the poor. Subconsciously they fear a retribution that in their hearts they feel they deserve.

According to @FeedingAmerica, there are now over 50 million people who are going hungry in America. This was a political choice by both corporate parties who chose to bail out their corporate donors and abandon the American people during a pandemic.
Rigging primaries against the progressive is not democratic. Kicking third parties off ballots is not democratic. Demanding blind obedience to your party and silencing any dissent is not democratic. Putting corporate donors over the basic needs of the people is not democratic.
