Feel bad for Loop but this ending was really the only way - another game that could’ve should’ve would’ve been a win. So many squandered opportunities this season that OF COURSE missing an intermediate kick would be the ending. #RavensFlock
The Ravens never deserved to make the playoffs anyway A terrible season comes to a terrible end
If you had told me four hours ago that the 49ers’ defense would hold the Seahawks to 13 crummy points in this game, I’d have bet my life it was a sure 49ers win. Unbelievable.
What a great day!
January 3rd, 2007: Nick Saban leaves the Miami Dolphins to become the Head Coach at The University of Alabama. #RollTide
FOUR IN A ROW
It’s never good to get blown out but, say, a 31-20 loss might have papered over some things.
A blowout loss in the Rose Bowl might be the best thing for Alabama in the long run because it forces DeBoer and company to face an uncomfortable truth. Alabama isn’t close. And that has to change next year: bamahammer.com/humiliation-at…
“You just have such a hard time keeping Aden Holloway in front of you” - Auburn fans nodding furiously.
Curt Cignetti was hired by Indiana November 30th, 2023. Kalen DeBoer was hired by Alabama January 12th, 2024.
And to think Alabama could've Hired him in 2024 over Kalen DeBoer. Instead, Indiana did
Indiana winning the national title would be the most incredible story of my lifetime unless Ole Miss wins the national title without its head coach.
Indiana got run out of South Bend last year in first round…they came back stronger. Hopefully we see that from DeBoer and the Tide. I believe future bright - there’s obviously a lot of work to do. #RollTide
He’s right.
Kalen DeBoer sees “a thin line” between Alabama and a national championship. The Rose Bowl showed me a thicker one. Column 👇 tuscaloosanews.com/story/sports/c…
Correct take. Would losing 28-17 made people feel better? Yes, but it still would be coming up short. Indiana way better which is stunning but a sign of where college football is. Clearly Ohio State and Georgia weren’t up to snuff this year either…Alabama a step behind for now.
Some postgame thoughts, as I freeze my ass off in this Sugar Bowl pressbox haha. Have heard several times already how Bama fans are gonna be irate at DeBoer for losing four games, two years in a row. I don't think a single non-Finebaum fan is thinking that at all. The loss…
What an incredible performance and win for the Ole Miss Rebels - wow! Pete Golding and those players deserve huge props for everything they overcame and then to beat Georgia on a neutral field - I didn’t see it happening.
Lucas Carneiro transferred in from Western Kentucky. Tonight he made a 47 yarder, 55 yarder, and a 56 yarder. The last one to win the biggest game in Ole Miss history. Lucas will never bye a drink in Oxford ever again. This is what CFB is all about.
Well said. #RollTide
Today was a sobering reminder for Alabama fans that the things we cherish most don’t always last forever—and that dominance, no matter how historic, is never guaranteed. It’s jarring to see Alabama look mortal. Even harder to watch them look as uncomfortable and outmatched as…
This game reminds me of the 1998 Music City Bowl performance. IYKYK
The Saban Coaching Tree will have 4 Teams in the #CFBPlayoff Semifinals… Saban’s last school Alabama will not be. (Cristobal, Lanning, Cignetti, either Smart/Golding)
I don’t even know that Grubb has to go but RB room and OL have to get fixed and consistent running game needs to be prioritized.
If I see one fire DeBoer tweet I will lose my mind. Lanning got blown out in this game last year as the 1 seed and look what happened. But Grubb does gotta go
I don’t understand why Alabama cannot execute wide receiver screens with the talent outside
His style is perfect for a program like Alabama and he’s brought that to Indiana in an era when you can flip rosters no matter pretty much where you are in the SEC or B1G. Really fascinating to watch even though I’m obviously not happy with results today.
if Indiana being this much better and more consistent than Alabama is scaring you, just remember Indiana's coach was an assistant under Nick Saban at Alabama during one of their most dominant stretches and Alabama's coach was the offensive coordinator for Indiana in 2019
