Same old routine at home. Get great chances, get frustrated, give up first goal, PP struggles & slowly fall apart. It’s officially became a thing & in this team’s head. So many points down the drain early on. It just makes zero sense. #NYR
Nice bounce back for #NYR beating a red hot team. Quick was huge as they weren’t quite as sharp defensively. Best news was Panarin waking up & Lafrenière finally broke through with a beauty. Laba prob was best player on the ice. Now have to finally break through at home tomorrow
Yet another frustrating loss at home. Played well for first half then got frustrated & played right into Carolina’s hands. They are worst team to play when you’re trailing & struggling to score. PP has to figure it out. It’s cost this #NYR team too much already especially at home
JT Miller with yet another big time play in OT. Cuylle really needed that too. He’s finally looking like himself last 3 games. Laba continues to impress. Doesn’t feel like he will ever go back to AHL. #NYR

While I want Perreault to keep cooking down in the AHL bc there is no need to rush him, it might be to the point where #NYR has no choice bc he is playing too well. Had a nice primary assist too earlier in addition to this snipe.
Super impressed with Laba’s game so far. He seems to keep getting better. You can see his game building as he has gotten adjusted. #NYR found their 3C.

Depth came through big time to tie that game. Sully worked wonders with the line changes. Finally got rewarded with all chances they had. JT Miller needed that. Shesterkin rebounded with unreal saves down stretch especially right before Raddysh tied it. What a win wow. #NYR

Have to love what you’re seeing from Perreault. He had a great camp with #NYR, easily could’ve made team. Didn’t sulk, went down & has shown he deserves a call up at some point. I’m happy he has been allowed this time to build confidence, so he’s humming when he is in NHL
A goal and 2 assists tonight for Gabe Perreault with one period left to play. 7 points in 7 games so far down with @HWPHockey (3 goals, 4 assists). Will #NYR call him up by Thanksgiving?

Couple specific player notes. Mika Zibanejad was a monster on both ends of the ice. Cuylle looked more like himself. Laba really starting to build confidence. Quick was steady again. #NYR

This team can’t catch a break injury wise. Never thought I would be bummed about Rempe being out long term, but that 4th line with him was crushing it. Changing ways team defended them & was a momentum line. What a shame. #NYR
Got a little clarity on the Matt Rempe injury. My understanding is that he’ll be out for multiple weeks, if not months. It’s not considered season-ending but I’m not expecting a return until some point later in the season. #NYR
Had a feeling Rempe would be out a bit. Seems like he hurt his hand in that fight. Finally some positive news on Trocheck. Was feeling ominous for a bit there. Hopefully some light at end of tunnel. He has been missed terribly. #NYR
Sullivan said that Rempe’s injury is “going to be longer term,” but had a positive update on Trocheck, who’s skated on his own back in NY the last two days. #NYR
Another embarrassing loss vs worst team in NHL. Now 6 losses in last 7. Last 3 have been extremely concerning. Not only are they still struggling to score, now old bad defensive habits have surfaced. Not sure where they go from here. Season feels on shaky ground already. #NYR
Def means Rempe out longer than day-to-day. Kind of surprised its Othmann bc he hasnt had best start in Hartford, but prob do not want to rush Perreault. Big chance & likely his last chance to stick with #NYR. This team could use an offensive jolt
After further thought, it’s even more worrisome. So many concerns. Old habits hurting them still, Laf/Cuylle have been abysmal. JT is clearly still hurt & it’s hurting the team. Digging a hole in the standings early. Feels like inflection point here. #NYR
