The announcement of a 'task force' to tackle #periodpoverty is welcome. But what is the scope of its work and will it consult great organisations like @RedBoxProject that have picked up the slack during years of government inaction?
We’ve been a little quiet the past few weeks but keep your eyes peeled.... we have a new box being dropped on next week at a new school!
Today the Government will announce that, as of early 2020, they will extend their offering of free menstrual products to primary schools too. That means all schools and colleges will have free menstrual products by early 2020, in England, Wales and Scotland. ❣️❣️❣️
We’ll be working hard to ensure this policy covers ALL kids in full time compulsory education (incl PRUs/ special educational settings) & is enshrined in legislation And until the funding is in place, our projects will still need your support - you sustain us & we’re so thankful
