If the committee leaves Texas out of the College Football Playoff they are making a clear statement: There is NO VALUE in playing marquee non-conference games. If a 10-2 Texas played a cupcake week 1 they are in the playoff GUARANTEED.

Win your games and none of it matters… there’s no guarantee Ohio State is actually as good as they were picked pre-season… as tu has shown. You don’t get to change the rules of the game to keep you from losing.

Texas lost to Florida (3-6) by more than they lost to Ohio State. They needed over time to beat both Kentucky (4-5) and Mississippi State (5-5). And they are projected to make the College Football Playoff. THAT shows how deep the SEC truly is.
