JESUS did all the work to reconcile us to the Father. Simply believe in the finished work of the cross to receive God’s free gift of eternal life by grace through faith without our works.
That’s backloading works to the Gospel of Christ. Carnality in the church exists today. Stop teaching and go study before you lead more people astray with false unbiblical language such as “true faith” or “saving faith.” James 2 is about justification before MAN not before GOD.
The phrase, "saving faith" is a post-modern requirement of salvation It necessitates that the onus is put on the sinner and not the Savior. Very tricky satanic language. Faith becomes arbitrarily quantifiable Paul didn't mention "saving faith" in his presentation of the Gospel

If you think you deserve to go to Heaven because you’ve done good works or turned from your sin (still works), then you don’t understand God’s free gift of eternal life offered to all sinners who simply believe the Gospel of Christ. It’s all about JESUS, not you.

Spiritual growth after salvation is not automatic nor is it guaranteed. We are not robots. That is why there is so many books in the NT that exhort our purpose as saved children of God created unto good works that we SHOULD (out of love) walk in them, not MUST.
JESUS paid the full price for our salvation with His precious shed blood. Trust in His FINISHED work on the cross to be saved by grace through faith without works. #ItIsFINISHED #JESUSPaidItAll ✝️🩸
