Though Gov. Tony Evers has requested the state reimburse 60% of special education costs in his 2025-27 budget, it’s unlikely Republicans keep that amount.
The Assembly Committee on Education is holding public hearings for two anti-trans bills today. I want to be perfectly clear: we will always work to ensure that these bills—and any future legislation that harms LGBTQ+ Wisconsinites—will never become law in our state.
