Mrs M was Teacher of the Year, then the school switched to structured literacy, upending her practice. But she went along with it for the greater good. Result: she was teacher of the year again. The whole school is improving. Got emotional when explaining, "How could you not..."

In Seaford, DE, everybody is a reading teacher. Visited last year and saw PE teachers starting with a reading activity. Profiled on ExtraOrdinary Districts, it's was easy to see why.

Thank you, Congresswoman!

We mourn the loss of @repcaroldoherty. From her time as a teacher and guidance counselor to serving as President of @massteacher and as State Rep, Rep. Doherty always put people first and championed working families. We will miss her compassion, her humor, and her advocacy.
