In 1995, Purdue Pharma introduced Oxycontin – & swore it was not addictive at all. It is. Every 11 minutes, an American dies from an opioid overdose. And the reason it's happening isn’t bureaucratic, scientific, or economic: it's because of corruption. represent.us/opioids

We have 7 months until the general election. That's plenty of time for states to make sure what is happening in Wisconsin right now does not happen in November. We MUST have systems in place to ensure every eligible voter can cast their ballot in a safe, accessible, & fair way.

Let's stop political bribery. We need to: 1) make it illegal for politicians to take money from lobbyists 2) ban lobbyist bundling 3) close the revolving door & 4) prevent politicians from fundraising during working hours. nytimes.com/2020/04/03/tec…

In Virginia, Democrats are trying to stop a bipartisan effort to end gerrymandering. Different state, different party, same problem. We’ll say it again: Gerrymandering isn’t a partisan issue, it’s a power issue. Regardless of party, it needs to end. #FairMapsOK #YesOn810

Ranked Choice Voting could have changed Super Tuesday: 2 million+ votes went to candidates that dropped out. 🔸Bloomberg 1,650,436 🔸Buttigieg 423,931 🔸Klobuchar 270,529 🔸Steyer 122,216 RCV lets voters rank candidates, so their vote is still counted if a candidate drops out.
