Durant(27),Diggs(24),Brewer(17) Sturtevant(12), Suetterlein(4), and maybe even DeSteph(20) will be losing their seats come 2027. Bumping the senate majority to 26-27. SD-20 would be tge supermajority seat! Much easier lift than the HoD reach seats
Blue Trump +26 Columbia County(next to Augusta) being blue is CRAZYYYY. Paulding and Fayette flipping is also beautiful to see.
The only HoD districts Dems could’ve possibly also won were 34,49,52,83,99 and 100. These seats were only won by Kaine’s 2018 landslide except for 49 which was only blue in 2020 Sen. 3,108 more votes in 34(Harrisonburg) and 49(Danville) would’ve led to a supermajority Dem HoD.

Former VA-02 Rep. Elaine Luria is planning to announce soon that she is running for her old seat against @RepJenKiggans, setting up a potential rematch. Kiggans defeated Luria in 2022. Luria was elected to Congress in 2018 when she defeated the Republican incumbent Scott Taylor

I hope she holds on one more cycle to see Trump out of office and hopefully a Dem in office for 2029. Her leadership is needed in case of a total downfall of democracy

It’s so hard to draw her out without cracking Johnson County and risking a dummymander. The 4th can’t be pushed to take KC without cracking Wichita which is a clear no from Estes. The 1st is already dipping east enough for Mann. Leaving Schmidt in the 2nd to risk his seat.

I served with each of these members of Congress in the General Assembly and this rank hypocrisy only serves to strengthen our position. They can join the unemployment line with the federal employees they have turned their backs on.
I asked the room if gerrymandering Virginia is wrong, was it wrong for President Trump to gerrymander Texas. @MorganGriffith said Texas is a different state with a different Constitution. He says what’s happening in VA is wrong, but says Texas has a different process.
