Some are calling for Juneteenth to be a national holiday. How about we go further & pass healthcare & living wages for all, a fully restored Voting Rights Act & reparations, etc. Please don’t just ask for a holiday. Let’s make it a holy day of repentance & reconstruction.

We inhale the peace of this moment. We exhale the rush to be first in line. We inhale the consideration of our neighbors. We exhale dread and self-preservation. We inhale willingness. We exhale judgement. Give us open palms, listening ears, readied feet. Be near, O God.
Invest in the world you dream of today! Speak life, not death. Write a letter to a detained asylum seeker, then to your representative. Go plastic/meat free. Look someone in the eye. Share your food, coat, time. Pray for someone then seek to become the answer to that prayer.

The @March_for_Life has now thanked Trump for building “a culture of life.” Trump. The most pro-gun, pro-death penalty, pro-war President in recent history, the man who took babies from parents & put kids in cages, who said he could shoot someone on 5th Ave. That “pro-life” man.
17 y/o Trayvon Martin was shot on his way to get some skittles. Yet there are thousands of white men able to march around openly caring assault weapons on Capitol grounds. This is not about self-defense it’s about the enforcement of white supremacy.
Our president retweeted this racist image. It is from “realDonaldTrump” Christians can be from political parties and disagree on issues but it troubles me that Christians can support a man of this character to lead our nation.
