Seems exporting Images of 3D/Perspective views in Revit via Parallels only works if "Cast Shadows" is selected in Graphic Display Options.
Revit will export images up to 15000dpi either horizontally or vertically.
If you're using Revit 2014 and Parallels (via OSX) and 3D/Perspective images are blank - drop the view on a sheet and export from there.
Create identical Hosted and Non-Hosted versions of components in the same project by selecting "Shared" and nesting it a hosted template.
Family Components of the same category can't always be swapped out. For example, swapping a hosted component for a non-hosted component.

Easy way to tell if DWG is current view only or not in a 2D view? Select it and see if it's associated to a View or User-Created workset.
A DWG linked as not Current View only will be associated to an editable View User-Created workset.
A DWG linked as Current View only will be associated to a non-editable View workset.
User-Created worksets are also assigned to Rooms. You may want to place rooms to their corresponding workset (1st Floor, 2nd Floor, etc).
You can override an existing view template w the same name when creating from current view - but not from the manage view template dialog.
Avoid placing objects "Slightly Off Axis" - especially when picking lines to place walls.
When using Revit w Dropbox pause syncing to preserve bandwidth. Delete backup and log files before restarting syncing.
