In 22w13a Mojang made a change where only wool blocks above noteblocks would prevent them from making sounds. Noteblocks are used extensively in redstone. Please vote to bring attention to this issue. Else all redstone will become noisy: feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/commu…
Fix for the noteblock wool noise machine situation. Make a noteblock not play any sound when first placed. If you right click once, you "activate" it so to speak and it plays the default first tune. It just needs 26 states instead of 25. First default state is silent.
