BULLS FLEXED OFF ESPN: The Bulls-Nets game Jan. 16 is now off ESPN and will tip at 6:30 pm CT. It's replaced by Cavaliers-76ers at 6. The Bulls game was to coexist on CHSN, which now has it exclusively. #SeeRed
No Sixers are unavailable for tonight's game because of injury or personal reasons. Per my notes, this is the first time that has happened since 12/18/23. Tonight will be the 11th time Nick Nurse has coached a fully healthy version of Sixers. It is his 199th game with the team.
Two of the things I regret most in my life are missing a friend's wedding to cover a bowl game and missing a family funeral to cover a major. If I can tell one thing to any young person interested in journalism, it would be this: Know that the job will not love you back.
A post gazette employee texted me this: “They gave us 45 minutes notice for a zoom call At 1:15. The zoom lasted 60 seconds. It was a taped message from corporate.”
The #Celtics shot distribution allowed is wild! Since 12/16 they're allowing the lowest rate of shots taken at the rim (20.5%) by 4.9%. They're allowing the highest rate of shots taken from three (45.8%) by 2.6%. Extremes like that should play into your props thought process.
I will always feel like Ben Johnson choosing the Bears was an unethical move, and a middle finger to the organization who allowed him to make his name. I said it last year before the interview process began, so there's no revisionist history here. #OnePride
Scientist: Explaining the importance of good sleep. Me at 3am watching him explain:
Luther Burden is going to be so good. Payoff from a slow played, somewhat developmental rookie season by this coaching staff is going to be well worth the wait in 2026 and beyond, if not in the playoffs this year.
Giannis didn’t need to do that and his explanation as to why was weird. The Bulls look weak by choosing that moment to show fight. A fitting look for both: Giannis hasn’t been the aw shucks superstar he tries to perpetuate for a while & the Bulls as a soft team.
Giannis throws down a windmill when you're not supposed to. Vooch takes exception and benches clear. Looks like some punches thrown. Bucks 112, Bulls 103 as Bulls win streak is snapped at 5
Our time is up at Audacy/BetMGM this week, but we’re not going away with 2 months to go in the football szn. The plan is for new CD content shortly. Our set schedule is a bit up in the air around the holidays. Subscribe here too. open.spotify.com/show/25gOafTMs… youtube.com/@betchickendin…
This might be the greatest example that Wemby just lives a different life than the rest of us 😂
This is amazing and will definitely be discussed on the @ImFatPod.
One of the best stories ever told on our show. Mitch Morse in 2023 was in on a play action pass. He pooped his pants. The Bills staff saw it and rushed him to the blue medical tent. His family was worried. Then they were relieved when they found out it was poop. @MMwithMitch
Offensive rebounding is back — which represents more than just a change in style. It’s a statistical revolution. Story on the NBA’s latest, greatest advantage and the coaches who are sparking it: nytimes.com/athletic/68590…
Thank you ALL for your support this year! It was a MASSIVE year for the I'm Fat Podcast, and we appreciate it!
They’re unserious. Plain and simple. Soft. Undisciplined. Shrugging. Pouting. If you need to be yelled at or reminded to play hard every few games everyone is the problem. Everyone. Orlando has been unafraid of this group going on 3 years now. Along with the rest of the league.
When they say that Thanksgiving doesn’t have a banger better than All I Want For Christmas, I just show them Pastor Shirley Caesar
In 2022, Mike Leach described his perfect Thanksgiving Day dinner plate.
THIS REMAINS A JORDAN GOODWIN FAN ACCOUNT!
Ben Johnson has been even better than advertised as a head coach. Already one of the best at second half adjustments. In Passing EPA per drop back, Chicago jumps from 18th to 8th between halves. In Rushing Success Rate, Chicago jumps from 16th to 1st (!!!) between halves.
