As #COP30 begins, we welcome new deals with UK industry to create good jobs, energy security and economic growth across British industrial heartlands and coastal communities. Read more: gov.uk/government/new…

I’m championing the interests of British people at COP30. Here, I’ll set out the economic opportunities of net zero: delivering energy security, lowering bills, creating good jobs, and firing up our industrial heartlands.

Ed Miliband: Nigel Farage and the right are CLUELESS about how popular clean energy is.

What children learn at school should equip them for the modern world. That's why Labour’s new curriculum will deliver strong foundations in reading, writing and maths — plus new skills like spotting fake news online and understanding money.

Reminder, Nigel Farage...

I’m very proud of this Labour investment in military housing. Those who have served and their families don’t deserve leaky, damp homes - they deserve the best. 🇬🇧

We are fixing forces family housing with a record £9bn renewal. And we are supercharging housebuilding on surplus Defence land: new homes for veterans, military and civilian families. Delivering for defence, delivering for Britain.

Our Forces and their families keep every one of us safe — the very least they deserve is a decent home. This week marks a new chapter. After decades of underinvestment, we are driving the biggest upgrade to military housing in over fifty years. thesun.co.uk/news/37193245/…

Imagine being a Tory MP taking time out of your day to attack the RBL. What an utter disgrace. Tens of thousands of veterans from diverse backgrounds have fought bravely to keep Britain safe. They are the very best of us. 🇬🇧

Bought my poppy as I do every year (& always more than one as I invariably lose my paper ones!) However, horrified to discover The Royal British Legion (RBL) has a Head of Diversity & Inclusion at a wage of about £65k - that’s a lot of poppies to sell just for that non-job wage!…

“Most people”, including those in NATO who lived under Communist domination and joined the alliance of their own free will, would recognise that collective security is the cornerstone of the freedom we have enjoyed since the Second World War. Putin sends his regards! 🤦‍♂️

"You get people who defend NATO saying it's about peace and it's about security. But you look at its track record...endless wars that have made us all less safe." @zarahsultana says that NATO is an "imperialist war machine" and Britain should leave the bloc.

Reform admits they have a class problem.

Change.

SteveReedMP's tweet image. Change.

The Kremlin will love nothing more than this false equivalence. It’s student politics garbage that’s an insult to the Ukrainians who are on the front line of resisting a dictator trying to redraw Europe’s boundaries by force. The war ends when Russia gets out of Ukraine.

"Putin is a dictator, a gangster, and there are war crimes that have been committed, but Zelenskyy isn't a friend of the working class either." @zarahsultana says all efforts need to be put in to ending the war in Ukraine, not pumping money into arms manufacturers.

Farage: epic grifter. Part 1 (Part 2 below 👇)

This is very moving. I’d much rather have this decent, competent and committed public servant with obvious depth of soul and character in charge than the alternative spectrum of options, who range from the crassly venal to the utterly absurd.

The Prime Minister literally did this in his Party Conference speech just weeks ago (and indeed in his 2024 Conference speech, too).

Striking to hear a senior Government minister in Wes Streeting clearly condemning Sarah Pochin's racism and the wider spread of racism across the UK, while defending the contribution of migrants to our country. A long time since we've heard a government minister speak like that

Rob Newman reposted

Sarah Pochin’s comments were a disgrace. And Nigel Farage’s silence is deafening.
