More than a decade ago I introduced a system to municipalities that would eradicate ghost workers, amongst others. DA municipalities embraced it, and ANC municipalities outright rejected it - for that very reason, every department had a finger in the pie.

The data is clear: Every nation that escaped poverty did so through economic freedom and reliable, affordable and abundant energy. African nations will be no different.
That’s R1,377,000,000,000.00 or 1,377 Billion Rand. Wasted money that could have served SA citizens better. But I think people hear the amount and not realize just how big it actually is. Thats more than R20,000 for every South African citizen - wasted!
