Some incredible duels last night. Had us in full debate. - 09 Scharzhofberger Spatlese might be top 5 of 2024 - never tasted a Barolo quite like Accomasso - Beyche was in amazing hands in the 80's

Harris is 60 Trump is 78 (Biden is 81) Like the sentiment from Obama... but old people will be deciding their future however they vote ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Here's my message to young people: you wouldn't let a bunch of old people decide what music you're going to listen to or what clothes you're going to wear โ€“ so don't let them decide your future. Make a plan to vote today: IWillVote.com/Obama

2004-2006 blind theme worked a treat. 2005 Gassac from @red_wine_baron not in the photo.

Only tasted a handful of Comando G bottles. Wasn't prepared for how incredible they were, or how humble and brilliant Dani and Fernando would be. Total trailblazers.

Drinking Angelus on a day it's caused such a stir. Spiritual juice. My fav right bank. But you need your head wobbled if you buy 23 EP.

Drinking maiden vintage Porseleinberg is like drinking modern Cape history ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ™. Primary aplenty. Squelchy raspberry and citrus tang. Smoked meats, cumin spice and dried earth complexity. Holding up v well. Better years ahead. Perhaps the most Rotie-like Cape I've ever tasted.

Would anyone else be surprised to find a Piedmont bottle under Vinolok? Surprised the DOCG permit it... I believe Barolo and Barbaresco mandate cork closures. I've always enjoyed the buffed Barbarescos from Pino. First time tasting their Barbera.

Might be unpopular, but Pasture Bristol is better than Pasture Cardiff. And corkage is only ยฃ15.

Can any Claret buffs share any insights on these 60's BBR labels? I enjoyed the 64 Cos recently, and then spotted the 61 Palmer a few weeks later. Shipped in barrel + bottled by BBR? Exactly the same assemblage as the Grand Cru Classe release? Any bearing on provenance/storage?

A young Yquem that came on tour to the Mosel and was enjoyed over 3 breakfasts, exploring many diff pairings and serving temps. Luxurious no doubt. But also fascinating on a culinary level.
