After weeks of hard work and dedication, trial and error… and error and error… lots of f**k-ups but always trying again, Brielle had finally perfected the art… of mini chocolate soufflés. “Add that to my Naw’leans style beignets and I might just open a bakery on these humans.”

There’s a simple nod his head. A real question indeed. . . He fear Little Larka will always be pissed at him. . . But that attraction has yet to fade.
A freshly shaped eyebrow raises. Was this a real question? On one hand, Sky was not at all happy with him... on the other, their underlying, unspoken attraction remains...
Mutters, “My wife is long gone, my daughter is hardly mine anymore, and the roof’s leaking. What else have I missed?” Sighs deeply while rolling up her sleeves in preparation to fix the area of the roof over the upstairs master bedroom.
By the time the wind snapped her out of reverie, darkness had fallen and rain was on her heels as she made her way up the plantation's pathway for the first time in a long time. It was like walking through a dream, only, in this dream, coming home could prove to be painful.
