She fell silent, not wanting to say how awkward that moment had been for her. "Uh, yeah, I guess."
"I.. We there was me taking off my helmet. That was a moment. And this. Two is better than none."
"Two isn't exactly a lot... And what two are you thinking of?" confused Kamala noises.
"We haven't? We've had at least two. I think. Maybe."
"You say that like we have them all the time or something..."
"A moment. Moments are good. I like our moments." Small nod at the understanding.
"For the moment, I guess," the young Inhuman shrugged nonchalantly.
"Did you almost--" He started but let it drop. {She like half smiled, dude.} "So we're cool then?"
The act was kind of silly and almost caused a laugh and a smile from Kamala, but she hid it just in time.
Sam stood straight and gave a playful salute before making an X over his chest. "I can do, not do that."
Kamala stopped and glanced back at him, a glare in his direction. "Don't destroy any more of my city and we'll see."
"Wait, don't just walk away. Please. I know I'm goofy and awkward.. But I get better. I think."
Kamala just blinked. She was starting to feel awkward as well, and turned to walk away to avoid any more of it.
{She wants to run. You blew it.} "I.. Was joking..?" His awkward smile now over-exaggerated.
"What?!?" her expression turned to confusion and, unintentionally, slight horror.
"So.. You dig me?" He tried flashing a confident smile through his awkward smile.
She simply stared for another long moment. ".....I never said I hated you, I just said you're a jerk."
His eyes shifted left to right then back to her glare. {Say something. You're being awkward.} ".. Don't hate me."
The young girl fell silent, just glaring now, although the nervous expression on his face almost softened her.
"I- no! I contained the fire! I had a plan, honest engine." He mumbled the last part "Just.. Not the best plan."
"You almost did! Oh yeah, and that fire you started and building you destroyed. Remember that??"
"Nuh-uh!" His head shook almost violently. "I didn't mean that! I don't wanna go all Godzilla!"
"Tried to destroy Jersey City? Oh my god, you're actually insane," the Inhuman threw her arms up in frustration.
"Don't I get points for not trying? I mean, Imagine if I'd tried?" He rubbed the back of his neck nervously
Kamala just crossed her arms and glared. "....You nearly destroyed my city!"
