Cultural Practice week is well underway. Getting an early start verticutting fairways this week
After a nearly six week closure we will be reopening next week. Just in time to still observe California Poppies in full bloom
Checking bunker sand depths - redistributing existing sand and adding new sand where needed
Busy Monday, refreshing decomposed granite on large walking paths and checking / repairing green side bunker pop up irrigation
Taking a break from winter projects to focus on detail work. Edging cart paths and blowing excess sand off bunker banks today
Taking advantage of a closed Monday to needle tine the greens. Really like the rear rollers attachment.
Winter projects continue- now on hole #15, removing oaks which were blocking the view of the fairway from the tees

Winter solid tine not only helps with water infiltration during the rainy season it helps building a strong root system for the hot summer months
Our annual irrigation system audit is progressing. We test all valves from mainline to 2 inch.We identified 5 - 2 inch valves which were malfunctioning - replacement / repairs is ongoing. Better finding them now than in the heat of summer.
Finished up our Fall pre emg weed control applications this week - long process
After a long and busy month of May we aerified greens this week. We went in with a row of Ninja tines and a second row of needle tines. Really happy with this set up and results
