I’m super excited and happy to continue working with Amir and the team on this cool project!
I decided to take a break, but will be back to stream from 3PM to 7PM CST. Come by and say hello. I’ll be building a video game using Ruby and giving away free licenses to Game Toolkit and RubyMotion :-) Link in the referenced tweet 👇
I’ll be doing a marathon stream on Twitch next Tuesday. It’ll be about 2D game development using Ruby: twitch.tv/amirrajan

#RMW #MSH | 1. We link an interesting thread between @wndxlori / @amirrajan / @AaronLasseigne about @RubyMotion converging back to Ruby, at least with regard to keyword arguments. | #mobileapps #mobileappdevelopment #ruby #rubydevelopment #rubymotion | ow.ly/QDD650qW41e

#RMW #MSH | 2. An epic thread (92 replies!) about helping with @RubyMotion compiler-related issues. Best make yourself a cup of coffee before tackling that one. The headline: it's a lot of hard work. But you knew that, right? | #ruby #rubydevelopment | ow.ly/oI7G50qW41J

Aside aside: something historic will happen in April (I plan to announce it at RubyKaigi). I already ran it by some core members of the Ruby community, and it seems like it’ll be well received. Time will tell I guess 🙃
And all of this is powered by @RubyMotion tech. Which will have a subset of its runtime expanded to console, PC, Linux, and WebAssembly. All incrementally open sourced with LTS.
Quasi 2019 New Year’s Resolution I guess? Please retweet maybe?
Now with A Dark Room for Switch at a release candidate state, I get to ponder on my next game. It’ll explore (what I feel) is one of the most painful emotions one can experience: unrequited first love. Pre-production work for “Sasha” will begin Feb 1.

To supplement this. RubyMotion (and by extension “I”), want you to build *successful* apps. So many platforms that celebrate the ability to use CSS type constraint engines don’t “get it”. You don’t need that kind of complexity. Just snap 👆 and work on more important things.
