The true cost of nationalising water is close to nothing. No one pays full price for bust companies. Very often, they go for £1. Why do ministers keep lying, or are they really stupid enough not to know?

Wow! @SteveReedMP once again claims it'd cost "Upwards of £100bn to Nationalise Water" This is a Lie This figure is from a report funded by the Privatised Water Industry to lobby against Nationalisation Why is a Labour MP regurgitating industry lies?

Gaza is being deliberately starved to death in front of the whole world, and the only people being arrested over it are those who opposed the crime.

We are receiving desperate messages of starvation from #Gaza, including from our colleagues. Food prices have increased 40 fold. Meanwhile, just outside Gaza, stockpiled in warehouses UNRWA has enough food for the entire population for over three months. The suffering in Gaza…

This 83-year-old priest has just been arrested for holding a sign which read: “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action.” According to Starmer’s new law, this puts her in the same category as an ISIS or Al-Qaeda terrorist, with a prison sentence of up to 14 years.

Note that the suffragettes took far more extreme action than anything Palestine Action has done. They burned down private homes, killing five, attacked churches and set off bombs. MPs celebrated them, then voted to designate non-violent opponents of genocide as terrorists.

Parliament in a nutshell: Yesterday MPs, including Yvette Cooper, celebrated the suffragette legacy of civil disobedience that won women the right to vote.. Only to then vote to designate non-violent direct action group Palestine Action as terrorists. Westminster is broken.

Actually we're "shocked and frustrated" by genocide.

Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley has issued the following statement ahead of a planned protest in support of Palestine Action, due to take place in Westminster tomorrow.

The situation in the Gaza Strip is increasingly worrying and painful. I renew my heartfelt appeal to allow the entry of dignified humanitarian aid and to bring an end to the hostilities, whose heart-rending price is borne by children, the elderly, and the sick.

Stop selling arms to Israel then.

This is too little, too late from the British government who are now desperately trying to save face after more than 18 months of complicity in Israel's genocide in Gaza. We will never let them forget their role in the deaths of tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians.

World leaders can make as many statements as they like opposing Israel's actions in Gaza. Until they end the sale of weapons to Israel, they remain complicit in the mass murder of Palestinians. Stop arming genocide, now.

Thirty plus years of dividends instead of thirty plus years of investment. In unrelated news, Southern Water have just texted about 100,000 people in Hastings & St Leonards to tell us they've burst another pipe and soon a whole chunk of the town will be without water for days.

Where is the outrage now that mass graves have been found in Gaza? Why don’t we know more about the bodies found with hands tied & clothing stripped? Where is the wall-to-wall coverage of this? Where is the international condemnation?

This would be a perfect time for @Keir_Starmer to clarify his plan for water. Public ownership is the only way to get a grip, so why won't @UKLabour back it?

Here’s a man dishing out free food to anyone hungry at today’s #PeaceMarch. Encapsulates the spirit of those who were here to support Palestinian rights.

I spoke to protest organisers earlier in the week, and they were confident today would be Britain’s largest protest since 2003. Looks like they were right.
