And yet your solution is to build walls and treat migrants like criminals instead of expanding immigration courts and hiring more immigration lawyers to handle the cases. Go ahead and pick the lowest hanging fruit to use as a political weapon.
As a Texan, I understand the need for a stronger border but I am sick and tired of politicians using the border as an easy weapon to use against opponents. How about fix the immigration courts who are backlogged or hire more immigration lawyers? Not a fence or more officers.
Politicians who ask for donations show the true colors they fly. If they have to ask their voter base for financial support instead of political support, they are in it for the money.
So, is there really NO penalty for Supreme Court justices who commit PERJURY at their Senate confirmation hearing?
From the Supreme Court decision only two things are clear. 1. Unless you hold someone accountable for their actions, they will keep pushing to that line until they actually are punished. 2. Basically Supreme Court judges have absolute authority when the people can’t pick them.
For those upset that REPUBLICAN senators and congress members would vote for a REPUBLICAN candidate seem to have forgotten the key thing. In a bipartisanship, party loyalty is the most important thing unfortunately. Get rid of political party labels and the situation changes.
If anyone is upset with Mitch McConnell’s pressure to protect SCOTUS realize he isn’t protecting a life, he is trying to protect an investment in maintaining control of SCOTUS. If it was a democrat, he wouldn’t say shit. That is how much of a rat bastard he is.
I’d like for everyone to realize that unless you defeat the mentality of bipartisanship, it doesn’t matter what side you are on. Nothing will pass or change until we unite in the political mindset and quit labeling issues as “Democrat”, “Republican”, or even “political”.
Honestly one of my major goals of 2022, aside from the usual be healthier, is to work on my negative pessimism. Looking back, I always saw the worst in people and thought that the world is a stale, cruel place.
Hate to get political again but moments like politicians acting like teenagers just proves that it is time to add job qualifications and education to being a Congressman/Senator. Too many dangerous people are slipping through the cracks and messing up democracy for everyone.
