10/5/24 9:30am Verizon service is down intermittent in Sublette County. Verizon is aware of the outage and is working on it but have not set an estimated time to restoration.
8/10/24 6:40pm The Daniel Merna Road (County Rd 23-112) and Roberts Road remain closed to through traffic by the Fire incident Command Team due to increased fire behavior. Please keep clear of the area so that the Fire Crews have room to work.
8/10/24 6:30am There is a new forest fire started last evening at Merna Butte off of Horse Creek Road. Fire crews are on scene and forest service fire crews are on the way. Evacuations possible SCSO & SCEMA will update the public as we get new information. #SCEMA #SCSO

Sweetwater County Bomb team and Sublette County Emergency Management will be burning explosive materials at the Richardson Gravel pit (South Tyler Avenue in Pinedale) in about 1 hour. Expect black smoke for the duration of the burn but there is no immediate danger to the public

12/23 This time of year many wildlife are migrating and hanging around near roadways. Please SLOW down while traveling especially at night. In recent weeks many animals have been hit by motorists and recently multiple just North of Marbleton. Slow down and give em a brake!
11/6 9:25pm Please be cautious traveling US Highway 189 between mile post 112 & 118. Ranch Buffalo have gotten out and wondered into the Highway this evening multiple times. The owner is in the process of collecting them but slow down and be aware on this section of Highway.

8/30/23 10:45am This morning another Centurylink outage has been reported. 9-1-1 lines are working and have been tested. However, our 367-4378 number is down again. Please use the temporary emergency number 367-5112 to reach us for NON-emergency matters.
