Arkansas wins 4-3. Vols just didn’t hit it well enough. Liam Doyle is going tomorrow so Arkansas will have to earn it. 46-18 overall.

The last game of the season at home is always sad to leave for the final time until next year, win or lose. Really special to get to host the regional this year and then win. It wasn’t really expected late in the season.
Vitello jumped into Doyle’s arms after the game which scared me a little. I was afraid he’d hurt Doyle’s knee when he fell. Curley did a good job getting Doyle away from the visitor’s dugout immediately after the final out which was good by him.
Russell and Doyle calling for the ball tonight on short rest is really cool. Doyle went all out every pitch and could tell he was tired in the ninth. But it was over once he came in the game. Wake Forest was done.
Andrew Fischer challenged the fans post game last night to show up and he did his part to make it happen. I’ve never seen a player pump up the crowd before their at bat then hit a homer. He was going for it all the way and got it with two strikes.
That’s a top 3, maybe second best game I’ve been to in Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The team came through with big hits, incredible pitching, and one of the best crowd atmospheres made it what it was. Regional Champs. #Vols
Ready for tonight’s regional championship. We ate Jersey Mike’s to keep with tradition and now walking to the stadium.
The energy and atmosphere around the team and Lindsey Nelson Stadium has been a lot better this weekend than it has for a lot of the season. Team is playing well right now.
