Did We Really "Defy Fate" In FFVII Remake? - Whispers Theory
Esto es lo que realmente estaba ocurriendo en Remake… hay pistas por todas partes que favorecen esta idea (tanto dentro del propio juego como en el lore). PD. IMO
So we all know the Whispers are trying to preserve the events that happened in OG. But when you realize Sephiroth is the one influencing them, you realize that Sephiroth is the one making sure those OG events happen. Aerith is the one trying to stop those OG events, & fails...
Sephiroth made sure Cloud met Aerith. He made sure he got the job at the Sector 5 Reactor. He made sure he fell into Aeriths church. Once you realize this stuff, instead of thinking its the opposite...everything becomes crystal clear.
Cloud: I wasn't pursuing Sephiroth...I was being summoned by him...

New video live! Regardless of where we are on the Remake/Sequel discourse, I still think it's weird that purple/JENOVA heavy entities defend the planet's fate or the OG for that matter. So here is an attempt to break it down and offer a solution to this dilemma. Link below!

Asked how much the narrative in the Remake trilogy is on a pre-set path. Naoki Hamaguchi says the overall direction was very much all down at the beginning. It was very much a rough outline, a basic plot summary. And they hadn't yet decided where they would cut the three parts.
Naoki Hamaguchi says he made a clear decision when he was given the role as director for the FFVII remake series. What he's not doing is trying to overwrite the OG with his own fan perspective of it and create a new version of the game which is essentially a fanfiction of it.
Asked about scene iteration, Hamaguchi says that's there but when Scenario Writer Nojima wants to express something, they'll be saying 'yes, we have to show that'. They assess whether it conveys his intent, but they try to avoid iterating to preserve a single creative vision.

Me encanta ver que los fans de FFVII y 7R, que siempre están en disputas internas, se unen cuando alguien se mete de forma injustificada con la trilogía. No se puede entender lo que el túnica negra de las visualizaciones ha estado diciendo estos días.
El problema es que la gente ha tomado sus teorías populares como verdades. El maldito remake ES UN REMAKE comercialmente sería estúpido que dependiera del original para disfrutarlo cuando muchos de sus cambios principalmente los jugables son para adaptarse a un público nuevo🧵

Just a thought about “future” knowledge. I’ve noticed that when streamers who don’t know FF7 at all play Remake, they immediately pick up on Aerith “knowing” things. After finding out in chapter 13 she’s an Ancient, a steward of the planet, they go “ah, that explains it”.
"The world that must be protected" is the Beagle world, btw. It's the real physical world for them, after all😌
Never saw this interview about the catchphrase "Will you be in the world that I protect" and it reminds me once again that even if some try to lower Tifa's importance, the devs will always remind us how inevitable she is. The fact it's also her wondering about Cloud is CINEMA
