People struggle with health issues every day: high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, etc. HIV is not an exception. It’s better to know your status and deal with it accordingly than to leave it unchecked.
Nobody is immune to catching this disease and people love to make light of the situation, whereas they’ve more than likely slept with someone with HIV and don’t even know it.
Speaking for myself, I refuse to make fun or joke about HIV just because that could easily be me in that person’s shoes. You never know what someone’s circumstances may be...
