This week some very brave @SurbitonHigh Y9 and Y12 pupils competed in the Greek and Latin reading competition. They all performed with real gusto and brilliant accents and our Y12, Evie, came away with a first prize in Greek Open Solo! Optime!
A few weeks ago, some of our wonderful @SurbitonHigh Y12s visited the boys’ prep to help them learn about Roman Britain for their Romans project. They taught the boys lots of new things and even managed to get some war cries from them! Here they are testing their knowledge…

Skull from the gladiator graveyard of Ephesus. Analysis of the injuries shows the man's head was impaled from above by a trident. The strike was likely delivered execution-style to the kneeling gladiator, after he had lost a bout and proven unsuccessful in any appeal for mercy.
