Justice David Souter joined the U.S. Supreme Court in 1990, the same year I started law school. He was confirmed by a 90-9 vote. Sadly, those bipartisan days are over. I’m thankful for his service on the Court and to our Country. I’m praying for his family in his passing. ⚖️🙏🏾🙏🏾

On this day 20 years ago, we started Stevenson Legal Group, LLC (formerly Coleman Graham & Stevenson, LLC). Here’s a few pics capturing our journey. The firm began and still concentrates its practice in business law, real estate, civil litigation and governmental services.
I had a great visit today at the office by one of my lifelong friends. We’re just 2 kids who grew up in the Sunday School department at Pilgrim Baptist Church in Fort Wayne. Now, John Pitts is a successful CPA in Georgia. I recommend John for any of your tax and accounting needs.

I had a long but productive work day that started with two court hearings in Indianapolis. I just wrapped up the day at the Kokomo City Council board meeting. The board unanimously approved my corporate client’s rezoning petition. Now I’m headed home to rest.😳⚖️

I attended this morning the ribbon cutting ceremony for IndyGo’s “Purple Line”. I was honored to provide legal work for the project. This $188 million project will connect people to work, health and access to life’s essentials. @IndyGoBus

This is what I was doing on this day 4 years ago. Preandra is now a lawyer, married, and doing well in her career. We were still dealing with Covid, but that couldn’t stop our conversation about her law school courses and her future career. I’m so proud of Preandra! #Mentorship
This is what I was doing on this day 2 years ago. Fast forward, my clients recently had a ribbon cutting for this VA Medical Center on its property in Muskegon, MI. This project is providing much needed healthcare services to veterans in the area and creating jobs. A win-win!
I agree with the late Coach John Thompson. I was the first black lawyer to serve a full-term on the Indiana Supreme Court as a judicial law clerk in ‘93. But there were qualified black lawyers before me who didn’t get an opportunity. I’m glad other black lawyers served after me.
Bayleigh interned at my law firm this semester, shadowing me 2 or 3 days each week. Today is her last day at the firm. She’s a senior in high school, graduating with honors. After college, she wants to apply for the FBI. I look forward to seeing her do great things in the future.
