I've found redundancy to be very helpful and worthwhile when managing work. It's been a bit more work tracking tasks in Jira, my note pad, and in docs. But, it's helped ensure things don't fall through the cracks and has made things feel less chaotic.

people really forget it's minimum *viable* product you can't just build the smallest, shittiest thing (esp. in an established category) and act surprised when no one wants to use it. the bar is higher for viable now.
