Terrific turnout in Springfield Park to celebrate the annual Wassailing at the orchards with traditional songs to wake up the fruit trees from their winter slumber with a toast offering hung on the branches in hope for good harvests to come - great photos from SPUG member Deborah
Taking children into the forest, explaining to them that trees are alive, communicate with other trees, sleep at night, and produce the oxygen we breathe, awakens an understanding that is important for the environment. Only what is understood will be treated with respect.❤️💙💚🍀

With all the windy and rainy weather, loads of litter had blown into the Angel Gardens so Jojo answered the call to help clear it up this morning - it looks a lot better (until the next time!) Add a bit of Christmas music & good company & it was definitely a morning well spent 💚
Reminder: Forests are the natural hospitals for body and soul. You go in, no one asks you, no one gives you appointments for examinations, etc. You get what you need, and you feel better, and you are also delighted by the splendor and beauty. We need more forests worldwide.💚🌳🌲
