No 809 - John Sissons. An England youth player who joined #SWFC from West Ham in 1970 for £60k. He would score 15 goals in 126 games before a transfer to Norwich in 1974. He went on to play for Chelsea, Tampa Bay Rowdies and Cape Town City.

No. 42 - Paulo Di Canio. The crazy Italian came to English football with #swfc from Celtic for around £4M. A scorer of great goals (17 in 48 games) his push on a referee led to his cut price sale to West Ham and is said by many to be the tipping point in Wednesdays decline

In all my years following #SWFC there have been many players from all over the world. Many nationalities an religions represented, including many currently with the club. I thought the recent behaviours had been left in 70’s & 80’s but sadly I was wrong. Be better. Keep the faith

No 849 - Will Vaulks. Midfielder Vaulks joined in 2022 on a free transfer from Cardiff. The former Rotherham, Falkirk and Tranmere player, who joined Oxford this summer, was solid during his two years with #SWFC scoring 2 goals in 92 games.

No 848 - Ian Poveda. The Colombian international began his career at Man City. After joining Leeds he spent time on loan at Blackburn and Blackpool before a spell with #SWFC in 2024. He played ten games without scoring before missing the end of the season with injury.

No 847 - Kristian Pedersen. The one cap Danish left back joined #SWFC on loan from Swansea in 2024. The former HB Køge, Union Berlin, Birmingham City and FC Köln defender only played four games for the owls, without scoring.

No 846 - Jeff Hendrick. The experienced former Derby, Burnley, Reading and QPR midfielder joined #SWFC on loan from Newcastle for the 2023/24 season. The 79 times capped Rep. of Ireland man scored one crucial goal in 12 games as he struggled for form with the owls.

No 845 - Ashley Fletcher. A forward who began his career at Man Utd. He had a goalless loan spell with #SWFC for the 2023/24 season, in which the former Barnsley, West Ham, Middlesbrough Sunderland, Wigan, Watford and New York Red Bulls man played 28 times. He is now at Blackpool

No 844 - Momo Diaby. A French defensive midfield player who joined #SWFC on loan for the 2023/24 season from Portimonense. During an injury disrupted season the former Salgueiros, Santa Clara and Paços de Ferreira player would only play 11 games without scoring.

No 843 - Reece James. Versatile left sided player who excelled in our 2023 promotion campaign. The ex Man Utd, Carlisle, Huddersfield, Wigan, Sunderland and Doncaster man joined #SWFC from Blackpool. Now with Rotherham he scored one massive goal in 45 games.

No 842 - Juan Delgado. The 15 times capped Chile international joined #SWFC for one season in 2023/24. He scored one goal in 12 games as injury ended his season early. He previously played at Colo Colo, Gimnastic, Tondela, Necaxa and Pacos Ferreira.

No 841 - Tyreeq Bakinson. A central midfielder who began his career at Luton Town. After signing for Bristol City he had loans to Newport County, Plymouth and Ipswich before a transfer to #SWFC in 2022. He scored 2 goals in 42 games and after a 2024 loan to Charlton was released.

No 839 - Luke Jackson. A young goalkeeper who came up through the ranks at #SWFC. After loan spells with Guiseley, Matlock, Hednesford and Gainsborough Trinity he was released in 2024 without playing a first team game.

No 839 - Jay Glover. Graduating through the #SWFC academy Jay made his debut in August 2022 in the EFL Cup. He would make a total of 3 first team appearances and following loan spells with Belper, Gainsborough Trinity and Spennymoor was released in 2024.

No 838 - George Byers. Beginning his career at Watford @G_byers had spells with Swansea and Portsmouth before forming a vital cog in the #SWFC midfield between 2021 and 2024 scoring 14 goals in 78 games. Spent time on loan with Blackpool at the end of the last season.

No 837 - Luke Cook. After a youth career with Enfield Town and Merstham forward Cook joined #SWFC in 2022. He played only once for the owls, in the EFL Cup, and was an unused substitute for a few more games.

No 836 - Ciaran Brennan. Graduating from the #SWFC academy the young defender made 18 first team appearances for the club, without scoring, before being released in 2024. He also had loan spells with Gainsborough Trinity, Notts County and Swindon.

No 835 - Adam Alimi-Adetoro. The tall defender joined the club in 2022 from Althone Town following a trial. He only played one first team game before being released in the summer of 2024.

No 834 - Lee Gregory. The Sheffield born striker played for Staveley Miners Welfare before being picked up by Mansfield. After spells with Halifax, Millwall, Stoke and Derby he joined #SWFC. He scored 29 vital goals in 101 games between 2022 and 2024. He’s now back at Mansfield.
