SWOX firefighters training auto extrication tonight -14 with windchill . Great group of newer and seasoned firefighters using the “jaws of life”. We train in this weather because thats when more collisions occur. Drive safe during poor weather and lets not meet by accident
An emergency kit is always a comfort to have in the vehicle. Carry water and some high energy snacks as well as toilet paper. Cell phone and charger and this time of year keep the fuel topped up. Don't forget needed medications. You could get stopped in traffic.

SWOX Fire wants to remind everyone to be careful as you travel the highways after the recent ice storm. Transport trailers are approx 50 ft long and will have a great deal of ice on the roof that can fly off and crash onto following vehicles. Clean off your vehicle STAY SAFE!

Swox St#1 members delivered the door prize from our Fire Prevention Week Open House, held last Saturday October 12th. We were able to drive over to an address in Brownsville and present the toy firetruck to Hailey's great grandmother.
@SWOXfire was recently at the Oxford Reformed Christian School displaying the firefighters PPE and offering fire safety to the grades 1 and 2 classes. Students now know that the firefighters are not frightening under their facemasks. Public education takes many formats @SWOX123
