This is literally what queer fans were told to do when the WC was in Qatar. You don't have to do whataboutery when the exact situation already exists. There was constant "respect the culture" messaging around Qatar '22. Why is it only the case when that culture is homophobic?
If the host city wanted it to be an anti-LGBTQ+ game, should the countries respect that as well?

Letting tech people touch the arts has to be one of the worst mistakes humanity has made. They have such deep contempt for creativity, ownership, and shared experiences. Life itself is an enemy. They will strangle every industry to death to have each cough up an extra dollar.

Re Spurs fans booing etc: Spurs are charging 70, 80, 90 quid to watch a team that's won 3 league games at home in the last calendar year. Remarkable that people are turning up at all. Clubs insist on treating fans like mere consumers. Can't be surprised if they act accordingly
