Wow.

I'll never forget my first Ofsted lesson observation, as an NQT, when they said I couldn't rely on this level of energy to engage and enthuse my class as it would diminish as I got older. I hope they get to watch this, 20 years later. 🤔

My January book stack. I enjoyed them all but Sounds Like Fun (out in March) was definitely my favourite. I’ll give one person who Retweets and Follows by 9pm tonight (2nd Feb) their pick of one book from this stack UK only.

I am today day’s old when I found out that 300 years ago the word “Goodbye” meant: God be with thee. Thanks @edstetzer, you’ve taught me so many beautiful things but not least this.

I think we need to recognise the unsung heroes of #TheQueue. Because we all know that a spectacle of this scale is only possible due to the hard work and dedication of primary school teachers who taught these people the true art of lining up sensibly.🚶🚶🏻‍♂️🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🚶🏻‍♂️🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🚶🏻‍♂️🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🚶🏻‍♂️

It's sad that we need a bank holiday on Monday and I will be watching the TV. However, I'm so relieved to have a long weekend at the end of the second week of term. Please keep this as a annual bank holiday! #teacher

Word of the day is ‘dumfungled’ (19th century): wearied, befuddled, and just a little used up.

This was so moving. Spontaneously stopped off at the London Bridge station organ to play a couple of pieces for the Queen. This lovely security guard, Marcella, asked if I could play Lascia ch'io pianga. Turns out she trained as a singer! ❤️😭

Such a beautiful service @LSTheology. Amazing to meet @ruthvalerio author of saying yes to life and to tell her how much I enjoyed her book.

It was such an honour to give the Address at the @LSTheology graduation service today. And especially nice to see @AnneCalver receive a special 'alumna of the year award' 👏

In recent weeks, I've often talked with @bbclysedoucet early evening in Kyiv. And I've wanted to know about the beautiful dome that's always behind her. Just now I asked and Lyse's answer captured how this war competes with the rhythm of life as it was. bbc.co.uk/news

Today is Holocaust Memorial Day. In 1938, Sir Nicholas Winton brought Jewish children from German-occupied Czechoslovakia to safety in the UK. Fifty years later, That’s Life reunited him with some of those children.
