Thank you @DavidLammy for highlighting this troubling statistic. The consequences of exclusions (especially where unfair or unlawful) can be grave.

Excluded children are "groomed and exploited by criminal gangs". It's no coincidence knife crime rose 22% last year given a 56% rise in exclusions in England since 2014. This is heartbreaking. Vulnerable children need to be helped not cast out. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-460272…
