Longshot, but I'm wondering if anyone knows what Richard Hubbard was up to the summer of 1950. Graduated from Austin HS in 1949, and got a cup of coffee with the minor league Duluth Dukes late that summer. Enlisted in the Air Force in October 1950 ... (cont'd)
... so I'm wondering where (if) he played in 1950. After serving in the Air Force, he played four seasons at Winona State. He served as principal of St. Francis HS for 30 years, from 1962 to '92. Sidenote: The 1950 Austin Packers were one of the strongest townball teams ever.
