Specifically I hate the argument that “if you don’t like it just don’t do it” as if the game balance isn’t impacted or devs don’t have a right to express a preference. It’s infantile.
The annual amnesia for the last 15 years that the previous Halo game also had sprint and that it has failed to capture this alleged audience every single time it's been trotted out needs to be studied. It's like we are in a looping nightmare.
Halo is not a suspense thriller. This purist mentality is what caused Halo to become Stagnant and decline. Halo needs the younger gen of gamers to succeed and thet dont GAF about nothing you talking about here. They want to sprint.
You aren’t supposed to be able to take the Warthog up to steamroll the Hunters. I intentionally placed rocks in the way so you had to fight them on foot. When you can just smash the crates out of the way it wrecks the encounters. But the worst part? They put trees in the landing…
