Brown pelicans are a regular sight along the Half Moon Bay coastline—gliding in formation just above the waves or swooping down with precision to scoop up fish. These coastal birds may look a little prehistoric, but they’re masters of the ocean breeze.
A few miles north of Half Moon Bay, the Cypress grove at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve feels like something out of a storybook. This shaded trail, with twisted trunks and filtered sunlight, creates a quiet, almost otherworldly escape. A perfect stop before tidepooling.
