Last year, school strikes resulted in 25 million school days being lost cumulatively. Children should not have to suffer a repeat of this disruption. I’m announcing that we will introduce minimum service levels in schools so that pupils get the education they need and deserve.

Anybody who knew what it meant for people’s livelihoods, businesses, families, freedoms and rights was distressed. Anybody who understood and cared, knew that 17.4m had - mostly unwittingly and due to lies - voted to harm themselves and worse, to harm others.

All I'll say is Gillian seemed very stressed when I saw her on sky news this morning. I think educators do a good job every day. That's why I think they should be: - Paid fairly - Have manageable workloads - Work in buildings that aren't crumbling
