im aware that men dont read vs publishers dont make books for men is a bit of a chicken or the egg problem but i do think its significant to note that women have always been open to reading “boy books” but the inverse is not true
Happened to be in Target again and decided to check in on the “Fantasy” section. Unlike last year, any male-centric fantasy is nowhere in sight. It’s all Chick Lit and Booktok slop. Modern publishing hates male readers

Sadly evergreen. I think mass layoffs should come with mandatory cuts in salary for senior executives, not bonuses for “making the tough decisions.” Show solidarity. Take a hit with them. Share in the pain, not just the responsibility.
