🚨 Everyone’s watching $api Bitcoin and Ethereum, but the real silent revolution is happening in stablecoins. As of late November 2025, the total stablecoin market cap has hit $303 billion, per CoinDesk and DefiLlama. 🥇 USDT (Tether) dominates with ~$184B
A Unit of Account cannot fluctuate wildly — stability is a prerequisite. This is the most explicit indication that Pi functions internally as a **fixed-value monetary base**, structurally similar to a stablecoin but not regulated as one under MiCA.
Volatile assets such as BTC or ETH cannot serve as a unit of account inside a functioning economy. Thus, Pi’s identification as such implies a foundational design principle: Pi must maintain a stable internal valuation to perform its intended economic role.
Like Bitcoin’s halving, Bittensor’s won’t spike $TAO instantly. Pre-halving “easy” tokens will dominate sell pressure a while. Only later, when new half-rate TAOs form most of the flow, will each sale hurt twice as much. Real impact is delayed, not absent.
My take on the Bittensor emission halving: Short term: No significant effect on $TAO. Longterm: 📈💣💥
