At 22.17 (train got in at 22.02) I decided to crawl off. Had to move all my stuff onto the platform. Member of cleaning staff offered to help. They’re not insured.
I posted this on June 9th with a narrative which some in @TheGreenParty have interpreted as meaning everyone in the pic supported @alisonclareteal Sally Skelton did not, and was only there out of curiosity. She was expelled, erroneously imo. Please reinstate her.
BREAKING: Donald Trump suffers a crushing defeat as a New York appeals court rejects his challenge to the gag order in his hush money criminal case — meaning he cannot speak about prosecutors and others involved in the case until he's sentenced. And it gets even better... Judge…
Starmer wrote in the Express that he will not restore Freedom of Movement. Please retweet if you want our Freedom of Movement restored. We were robbed of our right to live, work, study, and love in 30 countries by the worst abuses of democracy in modern British history.
OH C’MON, KEIR!! REJOIN THE SINGLE MARKET. BRITAIN WANTS FREE MOVEMENT!! Free movement was a privilege and a great benefit to Britain. Starmer’s refusal to have anything to do with it is UNACCEPTABLE. Side agreements that only benefit a small section of the community is NOT…

"I've heard a lot from constituents who have looked at the results of the general election and raised questions of Proportional Representation" 🌹 @CatSmithMP #Labour4PR
Labour's majority on 34% of the vote is an all-time record low, but the last three elections have seen a majority on 37% in 2015, a minority government on 42% in 2017 and an 80-seat majority on 44% in 2019. election2024.electoral-reform.org.uk/?utm_campaign=…
💔 Labour policy warns First Past The Post drives distrust in politics 😶 @Keir_Starmer “We’ve got to address the fact that millions of people vote in safe seats & they feel their vote doesn’t count” 📉 Turnout is at a record low. Labour must end FPTP. theguardian.com/politics/artic…
6 in 10 voters DIDN'T get an MP they voted for. More that 1 in 10 voted for a candidate that already had enough votes to win. Meaning ONLY 3 IN 10 people's votes actually mattered. Is that fair?
It's official. 5/5 remaining Tory seats in Oxfordshire have been won by progressives. Congratulations to @CalumMillerLD in Bicester & Woodstock, endorsed by @Compass_Oxon as a strong voice for democratic reform and cooperative working #WinAsOne
Polling showed that only 5% of people planning to vote Labour were doing so bc 'I agree with their policies' & 48% said to 'get the Tories out'. Only Proportional Representation can reinvigorate our politics to a point where everyone can vote for who they actually believe in.
The most un-proportional election ever? Here are the seats and votes cast so far (648/650 declared). The days of two-party politics are over, and our electoral system is clearly no longer fit for purpose (it hasn't been for decades). #ProportionalRepresentation #MakeVotesMatter
Not one word about @TheGreenParty and its unprecedented, dramatic results. The BBC can't get enough of Farage, but simply blanks the most progressive force in UK politics.
The disproportionality of this election has stretched the idea that we live in a representative democracy to breaking point. This must be the last election under First Past the Post. Take action with @CompassOffice @UnlockDemocracy and @MakeVotesMatter: actionnetwork.org/petitions/join…
📊 "As a general rule, countries that have more proportional systems tend to have higher trust in democracy", @jburnmurdoch tells #R4Today It's not a silver bullet, but making votes count is necessary if @Keir_Starmer is to restore trust in politics. 🌹 #Labour4PR
This election saw Labour and the Conservatives receive their joint lowest vote share on record, with a combined 57.4%. It is clear that the British public is already voting as if we have a proportional system. makeseatsmatchvotes.org
Labour won support of only 35% of voters but won 63% of seats 65% voted against Labour. This must be last election under First Past the Post % of seats won by a party should match % of votes it wins. PR now! @MakeVotesMatter now! Please SIGN & SHARE: makevotesmatter.org.uk/2024-last-elec…
