Imagine you’re 20 wks pregnant when your fetus is diagnosed with a lethal condition. But no one tells you that—at least, not explicitly. Your doctor is mandated by law to tell you the condition is “potentially life-limiting,” and that your non-viable pregnancy is “pre-viable.”
PSA, if you’re in the emergency department and your doctor tells you they’re sorry you’ve been sitting in the waiting room and that they’re working on freeing up a room for you, I promise you they are doing everything in their power to do exactly that. It is not a lie.
