Rangers have signed RHPs Paulo Espino and Shawn Tolleson to 2018 minor league contract with spring training invites. Tolleson had Tommy John surgery in May 2017 and will miss much of 2018. Espino made 6 appearances with Texas in September.

The season has been over 10 weeks and the bull pen is still endangering the Rangers.
Martin Perez suffered broken radial head in non-pitching elbow in incident with a bull. Had surgery last week. Prolly out until May 1.

The word seems to be Darvish is looking for too much money so unless that changes..... a reunion with the Rangers appears unlikely
But hey, if that was the deal Arizona was looking for, maybe it would be done now, so I'm guessing if it does happen, that's not the final package.
It would make total sense for Texas. Get less left-handed, open up DH for Calhoun, address rotation for a net increase of about $10m/year, which is much cheaper than the Darvish/Arrieta/Cobb/Lynn echelon of free agency.
